Ganga Jumna Dancing Balakrishna (IBS304)

Description

This is probably one of the finest examples of the GJ style we have ever seen. The detail is amazing. The workmanship and skill needed to produce such a fine piece is beyond comprehension. The boundary between the two different metals is amazingly clear which proves that this piece comes from the hands of a masters craftsman, very experienced, familiar and skilled with this sophisticated/challenging casting technique...we will hardly see a finer example.

It is in near perfect condition with no damage and almost no wear through worship. For a long time it must have been a most treasured piece and whilst present on the altar was not venerated. Another piece would have been used instead and this one treasured. It is not uncommon for this to happen so on occasion we do find pieces that are in this amazing condition. It has been a favourite of ours for a very long time.

The detail of the lighter metal is awesome. Krishna has been adorned with the finest rings, anklets, cloth and bells. All of which are exquisitely detailed. We will never see a finer piece than this.
