A fine icon of Lord Rama dating from the 17th century, or late Vijayanagara. This piece is finely detailed on the front, but unusually the same fine detail has not been applied to the reverse. We guess the artist that created this piece knew it would only ever be forward facing. There is some solder repair around the base but other than that it is fine condition with no damage or wear. The repair appear to be filling in what were original casting flaws.
