Seated Gajalakshmi (IBS250)
A very fine late 18th century image of Gajalakshmi. Here we see her seated in Padmasana upon a two tiered base. Her lower arms are in Abhaya and Varadamudra and in her upper arms she hold two lotus buds as requested by the scriptures.
This is an excellent and rare piece that has some minor wear, mostly to her face and lower left hand. The patina a lovely mid brown. It is quite heavy and there is no damage.
