Lakshminarayana (IBH143)
Description
A fine example of Lakshminarayana from the Vijayanagara period is seated in Sukhasana posture on a lotus upon a square Bhadra Peetha.
Vishnua is holding the chakra and the conch in the upper hands while he is blessing in Abhaya mudra with his lower right.
Lakshmi keeps a lotus in her left and embraces her Lord with her right.
Both of fine workmanship with rich details. On the Bhadra Peetha Garuda can be seen in adoration. The Prabha is missing, otherwise in excellent condition.
